About the Pioneer CS-777 Hi-Fi Speakers
Why this one
- Fair condition - noticeable imperfections, priced to reflect it
- Three-way design with 8-inch woofer, known for clear mids and controlled bass
Condition: Fair
This Hi-Fi speaker pair is in fair condition. Our 7-point functional test was completed in full: all checks passed except all drivers and no rattle. Note: Both speakers were tested and output audio. The main issue found is that on one speaker the second tweeter has blown, causing a mild high-pitched sound when plugged in. Audio still plays through the other two drivers, but there is a definite buzzing from the faulty tweeter. Cosmetically, there are a few surface marks and scratches throughout, but nothing that affects the overall look of the speakers. Please review all photos carefully, as they provide an accurate representation of the cosmetic condition of the product.

About this model
The Pioneer CS-777 is a passive 3-way bass reflex standmount loudspeaker from Pioneer's early-1980s Hi-Fi range, produced from 1983 to 1984 and part of the Pioneer X-A 7 system. It pairs a 20cm (8-inch) woofer with a 7.7cm (3-inch) midrange and a 6.6cm (2.6-inch) tweeter, with crossover points at 2kHz and 5kHz. Frequency response runs from 45Hz to 20kHz, with 90dB sensitivity, a 6 ohm nominal impedance and 60 watts RMS power handling. It is known for clear mids and highs with a controlled bass response. Each speaker weighs 6.5kg and measures 300 x 520 x 230mm (W x H x D).
