About This Model
The Peavey PV-2600 is a professional stereo power amplifier delivering 2 x 900 watts at 4 ohms or 2 x 550 watts at 8 ohms, with bridged mono operation available at 1800 watts into 8 ohms. It accepts XLR, 1/4-inch, and barrier strip inputs, and outputs via Neutrik Speakon connectors and 5-way binding posts. Peavey's patented DDT (Dynamic Drive Technology) compression acts as a soft limiter to protect connected speakers and control distortion under heavy loads. Built into a rugged 2RU, 14-gauge steel chassis, the unit also features a built-in 150 Hz subwoofer crossover with TRS outputs, a 40 Hz low-cut filter switch, and a Turbo-V demand-sensitive variable-speed cooling system, alongside comprehensive protection circuitry covering overheat, short circuit, DC, and clip-limiting scenarios.
