About This Model

The Monitor Audio Bronze BX2 is a passive bookshelf speaker built around Monitor Audio's proprietary C-CAM (Ceramic Coated Aluminium/Magnesium) alloy drivers — a 166mm mid/bass driver paired with a 26mm dome tweeter. The tweeter is mounted via a single rigid bolt through the cabinet back, allowing it to float free and minimise vibration. Bass loading is handled by Monitor Audio's HiVE II reflex port, which uses rifled internal grooves to accelerate airflow and extend low-frequency performance. Connection is via twin sets of gold-plated binding posts, supporting bi-wiring for those who want to experiment with their setup. Grilles are magnetically attached and removable. As a passive design, the BX2 requires an external amplifier to drive it.
