About This Model
The Marantz ST320L is an AM/FM stereo tuner produced between 1982 and 1984, covering FM (87.5-108 MHz), MW (525-1605 kHz), and LW (150-350 kHz) bands - a notably broad tuning range that includes Long Wave, less common in tuners of this era. FM performance is well-specified for its class, with a sensitivity of 2.0µV, signal-to-noise ratio of 66dB, distortion of just 0.35%, and selectivity of 65dB, alongside a frequency response of 30Hz to 15kHz. The unit is built around a discrete semiconductor array of five ICs, 22 transistors, two FETs, and 16 diodes. In a slim 416 × 55 × 192mm chassis weighing 2.4kg, it fits neatly into a period or modern rack stack.
