About This Model

The Linn Majik 109 is a 3-way passive stand-mount loudspeaker built around a 150 mm doped paper cone bass/midrange driver paired with Linn's 2K Driver Array — a dual high-frequency arrangement using a 16 mm soft-dome polyurethane elastomer tweeter (handling 1.5–6 kHz) and a 19 mm fabric-dome supertweeter (above 6 kHz), derived from Linn's reference speaker designs. The front-firing bass reflex port extends the passive frequency response down to 72 Hz and allows placement close to walls without sacrificing bass performance. Three sets of 4 mm banana/spade binding posts enable bi-wiring or tri-wiring, and the cabinet is Exakt-compatible, meaning it can be upgraded to a fully Aktiv active configuration within a Linn Exakt system. At 327 × 192 × 256 mm and 5.9 kg per speaker, it is a compact but serious standmount built to scale with a quality amplification chain.
