About this model
The Linn Katan is a passive two-way bookshelf loudspeaker built around a 19mm soft-dome tweeter and a 160mm cone bass/midrange driver in a bass reflex cabinet. Frequency response is quoted as 75Hz to 20kHz (±3dB), with 85dB sensitivity and an 8 ohm nominal impedance, and Linn recommends a minimum of 30 watts per channel into 8 ohms. The cabinet is MDF with horizontal bracing and balanced veneers, and the rear panel uses interchangeable crossover boards that support bi-wiring and bi-amplification, with the option to convert to active mode using Linn's Aktiv cards. Each speaker measures 170mm x 340mm x 230mm and weighs 6kg.
