About This Model
The John Packer JP173 is a Bb baritone horn built around a yellow brass body with a lacquer finish, featuring three bottom-sprung monel piston valves with nylon valve guides for smooth, reliable action. It has a 0.504" bore and an 8" bell, giving it the warm, full projection typical of a well-proportioned baritone. Three waterkeys and an open-wrap layout contribute to comfortable playability and efficient airflow. It is a student-to-intermediate instrument designed for band and ensemble use.
