About this model
The Cyrus Two is an integrated stereo amplifier built around a "straight line" signal path, designed to strip out extraneous circuitry for a pure, direct sound. It delivers 50W per channel into 8 ohms and 80W per channel into 4 ohms, with a peak-to-peak current swing of 60 amps. Inputs include three line inputs, a tape loop, a direct CD input and a low-noise moving coil phono stage. A headphone socket is fitted, and a socket allows the optional PSX outboard power supply to be added for 70W per channel. Produced from 1984 to 1993, it uses a compact layout with a large toroidal mains transformer.
