About This Model

The Bowers & Wilkins HTM6 S2 is a two-way centre channel loudspeaker built around driver technology trickled down from B&W's flagship 800 Series. At its core are two 130mm Continuum cone bass/midrange drivers — a material prized for its combination of rigidity and controlled damping — flanking a 25mm Decoupled Double Dome aluminium tweeter that extends response out to 28kHz. Sensitivity sits at 87dB (2.83Vrms, 1m) with a nominal impedance of 8Ω, making it compatible with a wide range of amplifiers rated between 30W and 120W into 8Ω. The rear-firing Flowport — a dimpled, flared bass port — reduces turbulence for cleaner low-frequency reproduction down to 72Hz (±3dB). An upgraded crossover completes the picture, optimised for improved transparency and detail retrieval across the vocal midrange frequencies where centre channel performance matters most.
