About This Model

The Bowers & Wilkins 603 S3 is a 3-way bass reflex floorstanding loudspeaker built around a carefully chosen driver array: a 25mm Titanium Dome tweeter with Decoupled Double Dome design, a 150mm Continuum cone FST midrange, and two 165mm paper fibre cone bass drivers. The tweeter is positioned close to the midrange unit to improve phase coherence and stereo imaging, and is protected by an acoustically transparent mesh grille developed for B&W's Signature models. Frequency response extends from 46 Hz down to 29 Hz at -6 dB, with a sensitivity of 90 dB and a nominal 8-ohm impedance, making the speaker compatible with a wide range of amplifiers rated between 30 and 200W. A rear-firing Flowport - featuring a golf ball-textured opening - reduces turbulence for cleaner, more controlled bass. Dual binding posts allow bi-wiring or bi-amping for those who want to take the setup further.
