About This Model

The Boss GT-8 is a professional-grade guitar effects processor built around dual COSM amp modeling engines, giving access to 46 COSM amp models alongside 44 effects categories — covering preamp and speaker simulation, distortion, delay, chorus, reverb, wah, and synth simulators. Up to 13 effect blocks can run simultaneously and be arranged in any order, with 200 preset and 140 user patch slots for storing sounds. A dedicated Solo button on each amp model enables instant lead tone switching, while the Dynamic Sense feature allows channel switching to respond to picking strength. Connectivity is comprehensive: a quarter-inch guitar input, stereo effects loop (send/return), two quarter-inch outputs, a headphones out, an Amp Control jack for switching external amp channels, sub-expression pedal inputs, MIDI in/out, and an RCA digital output. The 24-bit A/D and D/A conversion with over 100 dB dynamic range underpins the clean signal path throughout.
