About This Model

The Avantone Active MixCube is a powered full-range mini reference monitor built around a single 5.25-inch driver with a custom paper cone made from New Zealand pulp and mica fibers. Because there is no crossover, the design eliminates crossover distortion and phase errors, giving a clear window into mid-range frequencies — the same range that dominates consumer playback systems like TVs, laptops, and car stereos. The built-in Class-AB amplifier delivers 60 watts RMS, with a frequency response of 90 Hz to 17 kHz and a maximum SPL of 104 dB at 1 metre. Input is via a combi XLR/TRS jack accepting both +4 dBu balanced and -10 dBV unbalanced signals. The sealed 18mm MDF cabinet is magnetically shielded, and a 5/8"-27 threaded insert in the base allows mounting directly on a standard microphone stand.
