About This Model

The Aston Stealth is an active dynamic (moving coil) microphone with a built-in Class A preamp, offering a cardioid polar pattern and a frequency response of 20Hz–20kHz. Its standout feature is four discrete voicings — V1 for male vocals, V2 for female vocals, G optimised for guitar, and D for a dark, ribbon-style character — making it unusually versatile for a dynamic handheld mic. In passive mode sensitivity sits at 1mV/Pa, rising dramatically to 150mV/Pa when 48V phantom power is detected via its autodetect circuit. The maximum SPL of 140dB and a low 10dB equivalent noise level give it solid headroom and a clean noise floor. Connectivity is via XLR, and the metal-bodied construction includes an internal Sorbothane shock mount, a quick-release stand mount, and a switchable purple LED indicator.
