About This Model
The Allen & Heath MixWizard WZ3 16:2 is an analog multi-purpose mixer offering 16 mic/line channels with balanced XLR/TRS jack inputs, stereo L/R outputs, and direct outputs on every channel. Each channel features a 4-band EQ with two sweepable mid-range bands and individually switchable phantom power, making it well-suited for both live sound and studio routing. Six auxiliary sends — two pre-fade, two switchable, and two post-fade — provide considerable flexibility for monitor mixes and effects routing, complemented by onboard FX with 16 programs and MIDI-based external editing. The 100mm faders and rotating connector pod allow the desk to be used both rack-mounted in a 19-inch rack or in a traditional desktop configuration, and a backup power supply socket adds resilience for live applications.
