About this model
The Alesis SR18 is a standalone drum machine built around 12 velocity-sensitive pads and a 32MB multi-sampled ROM holding over 500 drum and percussion sounds plus 50 bass sounds. Dynamic Articulation changes the timbre with playing force, and three instrument layers (Drum, Percussion and Bass) each get their own MIDI channel. Built-in reverb and EQ/compression presets, 100 preset patterns, 100 user patterns and 100 user songs cover writing and live use, with Pattern Play mode and a Drum Roll function for performance. Connections include main and aux outputs, a headphone output, MIDI In/Out/Thru, a 1/4" instrument input and two footswitch jacks.
