Crafted from B8 bronze - the same 8% tin, 92% copper alloy used in Paiste's acclaimed 2002 and Giant Beat series - the 505 line features medium hammering with increasing density toward the bell, and a dual-lathing treatment with evenly spaced coarse lathing. The result is a bright, loud, and focused sound character with that distinctive shimmery Paiste tone, delivering less sustain and complexity than the 2002 series but sitting comfortably above the entry-level 404 range.
