Its architecture derives from E-MU's higher-end EIIIX, bringing 32 analog-voiced 24 dB\/octave lowpass filters and an extensive onboard editing suite covering truncation, loop editing, pitch shift, time compression\/expansion, Para-EQ, Doppler, and more. It handles 16 MIDI multitimbral parts simultaneously and can import samples from Emax-II and Akai S-1000 libraries. Connectivity includes four unbalanced quarter-inch outputs, two unbalanced quarter-inch inputs, and MIDI In\/Out\/Thru, with a built-in 3.5-inch disk drive expandable via optional SCSI or ZIP drives.
